Wilhelmina

Elke

Wilhelmina, our 8 year old registered Friesian studbook mare, Ouke x Ludse, has had three beautiful foals, one 1st Premie Grand Champion colt, and two second premie fillies.  She is not bred for a 2008 foal since we decided to stop breeding. Willow has had no reproductive problems.  She is a very nice, quiet riding or driving  mare, suitable for beginner level as well as more experienced riders.  Willow is a very sweet, people oriented and affectionate mare and we would love to see her go to a permanent home with people whom will love and appreciate her as much as we do. She will do well as a riding or driving mare as well as brood mare.  She will be in your pocket and by your side... no matter what.

Elke is a beautiful 6 year old registered Friesian studbook mare,  Ouke x Ludse.  She is trained to ride and ready to start driving anytime.  She is just short of 16 hands tall and a more modern than baroque type friesian.  She has a long flowing mane and lots of feathering.  Elke has produced one beautiful filly and she is an excellent mother.  She had no reproductive problems.  Her  filly can be viewed on our "horses sold" page,  under "Sophie".  Elke  has good forward movement and will be suitable for beginner as well as more experienced riders. We would love to see her go to a permanent home with someone who will develop her abilities further.  Elke will do well in dressage, driving,  producing offspring  as well as be your  friend for life.

Tea

Tara

Tea: Yearling filly out of Katryne (Ludse and Honeybee), and she is sired by Teade 392.  This filly will probably mature at about 16 hands and have A LOT of wavy hair.  Strikingly beautiful movement. She received a 2nd premie at her foal keuring.

Tara:  Yearling filly out of Wilhelmina (Ouke and Katryne).  Sired by Teade 392. This filly is extremely inquisitive and friendly.  She will probably mature at average height,  modern type Friesian.  Her movement is equally beautiful to that of Tea. She received a 2nd premie at her foal keuring.

Rafi: Two year old gelding sired by Jorrit 363 and out of our mare, Wilhelmina. He earned a second premie at his foal keuring.  Rafi is currently already 16 hands tall and promises to become bigger yet.  He is a gelding with a lot of presence, elegance and strong forward movement. He is a deep black with small white star on the forehead, as well as a lot of hair and feathers. He is full brother to Jupiter on the left. Rafi was started with ground driving this summer and is a fast learner.

Lucas

Melinda De Luca purchased Lucas from us in Dec. 2003,  at age 8 years old.  He was sired by Ludse and his dam is Nadya. Melinda and Lucas were a match from the start; not only because their names matched but Melinda won his heart in short time.

  Recently we were invited to attend a clinic where Melinda took Lucas,  to work with Karl Mikolka.  We had not seen Lucas in several years. We were thrilled to see how wonderfully fit and beautiful he looked.  His musculature and fitness shows and he is just lovely.  She has taken him on a lot of trail rides this summer, and he does SUPER even when deer or other wildlife jump out.  Today Lucas is 11  years old and  lives at G-Folly Farm near Milwaukee where Melinda rides him at least 4 times per week. It is our wish to be able to find just such good homes and well matched owners for the Friesians we still have for sale.
